Huw Thomas has been advising on employment issues, data protection and information management for more than 10 years.

He has broad experience of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters with a particular emphasis on regulatory issues in the finance industry in both Jersey and Guernsey. He also specialises in mediation.

Huw is a regular speaker at breakfast briefings, conferences and seminars.

Huw advises in both Jersey and Guernsey as part of the Carey Olsen Channel Islands Employment Team.

Career

Huw qualified as an English Solicitor in 1999. He has worked for leading employment law firms in the City of London and has previously spent five years developing the employment team in another law firm in the Channel Islands prior to running his own employment law consultancy.

Professional Memberships

He is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association and a CEDR Accredited Mediator.

Huw is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
