Career

Jacky Scanlan-Dyas is the Regional Lead for Corporate in Japan, the Co-Global Lead for Diversified Industrials Industry Group, and member of global M&A leadership committee. She joined Hogan Lovells London office in 2001 and, having had close ties with Japan throughout her life, moved to Tokyo to launch our Japan M&A transactions team in 2009.

Jacky has over 25 years' cross-border transaction experience across the full range of structures, including M&A, investments, exits, joint ventures, complex commercial contracts, and restructuring and insolvency issues.

Jacky's extensive international experience and results-orientated approach enables her to navigate cross-cultural issues that arise in multi-jurisdictional transactions. She advises major Japanese corporates and trading houses investing outside of Japan and has supported many international corporates investing and doing deals in Japan.

The Legal 500 says that she 'stands out as sharp and hardworking' and is 'a great asset to have involved in any deal' and as testament to this Jacky was presented with the "Person of the Year" award by the British Ambassador on behalf of the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan in 2016.
