Over 40-years’ experience in environmental and climate change law, including monetizing sustainable business practices, creating climate offset credits and writing protocols for new carbon market methodologies. Jeff has created innovative solutions in all environmental media and has successfully litigated before all levels of state/federal courts. He has helped create renewable energy projects through the use of tax and carbon offset credits, and has also designed and conducted internal corporate compliance programs.
Career
Jeff joined Dentons in 1990, is a former adjunct professor at Northwestern Law School. presented at Paris, Marrakech and Lima Climate COPs on the topic of offsets and their use in a variety of legal contexts. Highlighting his expertise, he was a finalist for Financial Times “Most Innovative Lawyers” (2021), received Am Law Citizen of the Year, Pro Bono Project of the Year Awards in 2014 and the Innovation Award from American Carbon Registry in 2017.
