Jeffrey M. Leider is a partner in the Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group based in the New York office.

Mr. Leider’s practice focuses on the development, financing, acquisition, and disposition of power generation (conventional and renewable), transmission, energy transition and other energy and infrastructure projects in the Americas.

Mr. Leider has been named a “Rising Star” by The Legal 500 and SuperLawyers and “Up and Coming” by Chambers.

Experience

His recent experience includes representing:

• A private equity seller of a 3.5GW portfolio of natural gas-fired power plants in the United States;

• Onward Energy in connection with multiple project financing and holding company loans to support renewable energy projects in the United States;

• Carlyle in connection with holding company loans to support portfolios of solar energy projects in the United States;

• Sponsors and lenders in connection with numerous community solar projects;

• CleanCapital in connection with multiple debt facilities, joint venture agreements and other development work;

• LS Power in numerous bank financings and private placements for transmission assets, including the DesertLink, Silver Run and Republic transmission lines;

• Project sponsors in the negotiation of power purchase agreements, EPC Contracts, equipment supply agreements, O&M contracts and related project agreements;

• Amp Energy in connection with the sale of its US solar business;

• The investors in multiple private placements for power, transmission and energy transition assets in the United States;

• Sponsors, lenders and institutional investors in numerous single-asset and portfolio financings for renewable natural gas assets and sustainable fuel assets in North America; and

• Private equity sponsors and commodity hedge providers in connection with structured hedges for solar and natural gas assets.
