John-Paul (J-P) is a partner in the Blakes Corporate group and focuses on M&A and private equity transactions. He serves as regular M&A counsel to leading financial and strategic acquirers in Canada, the US and abroad, and is also frequently engaged as special sellside M&A counsel in competitive auction processes. A significant portion of his practice involves working with private equity funds and their portfolio companies.
J-P currently serves as co-head of the national Private Equity group, co-head of the Vancouver corporate group and as a member of the Firm’s compensation committee.
