Career
Juan Camilo De Bedout is a Partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz, where he leads the area of tax, customs and transfer pricing litigation and controversy. His professional practice focuses on tax planning, taxes, transfer pricing, controversy, and tax and customs litigation.
Juan Camilo has extensive experience in matters related to administrative and judicial discussions with national and territorial tax authorities, and in advising on international issues. Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, he served as a senior attorney at an international consulting firm in the area of taxes, controversy and tax litigation.
He is the director and author of the Tax Jurisprudence Observatory of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT). He has been invited as a lecturer in different national and international academic scenarios, on issues of procedure, controversy and tax litigation, he is a postgraduate professor in the specialization of Tax Law at the universities of the Andes, Externado de Colombia, EAFIT in Medellín and the University del Norte in Barranquilla, directs the Diploma in Tax Procedure at the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT), is co-author of the Tax Procedure Book of the Legis publishing house and participated in the commission of advisers in litigation and tax controversy of the Ten-Year Plan of Justice Tax of the Ministry of Justice.
