Julia is a partner specialising in elder law and mental capacity. She is head of the elder law team. She has recognised expertise in international and cross border mental capacity issues. The immediate past chair of STEP’s multi-jurisdictional Mental Capacity Special Interest Group, Julia is a regular writer and lecturer on elder law and capacity topics. Julia has worked with the OPG in the UK and governments outside the UK in relation to updating law and practice in the mental capacity area. Julia is also one of the two UK members of the US National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Inc and a past Chair of Solicitors for the Elderly.
