Practice Areas
Kate is the co-lead of our Fund Formation practice group and works with both investors and sponsors on raising and investing in funds. She has acted for numerous clients on fund investments, direct investments and co-investments in many industry sectors, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity, energy, transition energy and private debt. She has also assisted institutional clients on significant transactions including joint ventures and direct acquisitions as well as major reorganizations.
She has also advised many clients on environmental, social and governance issues (ESG) particularly on the new regulations, changes in the market and assisting with reporting obligations.
Kate has expertise advising not for profits and has served on not for profit boards. She is currently the chair of Right To Play International, a global charity empowering some of the most vulnerable children in the world through play based learning.
Kate practised in the Firm's London, England office for two years. She also practised at an international law firm in Paris, France.
Kate is from Montréal, Quebec, and is fluent in French.
