Career
Kristin K. Zinsmaster is a partner in the Minneapolis Office of Jones Day. She practices in the firm’s Business & Torts Litigation and Investigations & White Collar groups and serves as the Hiring Partner for the Minneapolis office.
Kristin helps companies of all kinds successfully navigate complex civil and criminal litigation, enforcement actions, and internal investigations. Although her clients span a variety of industries, she has the deepest experience representing those in the health care and financial services industries. Kristin has handled and worked on matters at every stage — from internal investigation to discovery to jury trial — in state and federal courts and has litigated across a range of subject areas, including business torts and contract disputes, fraud and embezzlement, federal securities law, shareholder derivative actions, anticorruption (FCPA and U.K. Bribery Act), and the False Claims Act.
Kristin is a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel in the District of Minnesota and maintains a sizeable pro bono practice, devoted primarily to representing individuals who qualify for the services of the Federal Defender. She currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Minnesota – Duluth and is a former collegiate runner.
