Career
Kunal Chandra is a Partner in the corporate practice group at Trilegal. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital investments, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and legal and regulatory matters.
His experience ranges from advising on both the buy side and the sell side and across various stages from venture and seed stage, through series A to pre-IPO, which provides a perspective on a range of issues to factor in.
Kunal regularly advises on various complex legal and regulatory issues. In addition to his core areas, he has varied experience ranging from commercial dispute resolution to strategising on enforcement. This experience is combined with providing holistic advice to clients. He has ~ 18 years of experience.
In particular, Kunal focuses on large and complex M&A transactions and PE transactions across a variety of sectors, including infrastructure (including roads and highways), healthcare, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, technology, logistics, real estate, financial services, chemicals, consumer space (including e-commerce, foods and beverages), steel and alloys, agriculture, FMCG, mining, etc.
Kunal regularly works with Indian institutions, multinational corporations, private equity investors, hedge funds and financial institutions. Clients he has advised include – Edelweiss, Rajan Raheja group, Godrej, Mitsui, GE, Morgan Stanley, MUFG, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, IFU – International Fund for Developing Nations, CPPIB, Sumitomo Corporation, NCR, CLSA, SBI, Citadel Investments, Incred, Baker Tilly, Investec.
