Layne concentrates on antitrust and business litigation, government investigations and regulatory matters, international disputes and other business problems. He has represented clients in petroleum production and marketing, health care, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, insurance, consumer products, transportation and other industries. Layne has been a first-chair trial lawyer for jury trials, nationwide class actions, injunction proceedings, arbitrations and appeals, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has headed the antitrust and competition practice group of Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP; has headed the litigation practice group for the Houston office; and has served on NRF’s Global Supervisory Board. He has also represented pro bono criminal defendants on capital murder death penalty convictions.
