Lucy is a Solicitor and Partner in our family law team based in our Leeds office and is Sector Lead for individual services across Leeds and Newcastle. Lucy represents clients both locally and across England & Wales, often appearing in Courts in London, the Midlands and the North East.
Lucy adopts a firm approach to her cases to ensure her client’s get fair results. Commended for her ‘legal mind and inner steel’ Lucy will support her client’s in reaching settlements out of court wherever possible, but also represents clients at all levels of the Family Court and has been successful in the Court of Appeal.
Lucy has been described as "first rate" and "amazing" by the independent directory ‘The Legal 500’ and is credited by her clients for being realistic, empathetic and a “serious match for her opponents.”
Lucy has over 15 years' experience in family law, and specialises in obtaining financial settlements alongside divorce, pre-marital agreements and resolving disputes concerning arrangements for children.
She has considerable experience of representing clients in demanding and senior positions such as business owners, corporate executives, professional footballers and media personalities.
Her work in financial settlements involves complex corporate and business structures, property and land holdings (including farm and agricultural estates), pension and trust assets. Often working with other professionals such as forensic accounts and business valuers, Lucy has a deep understanding of complex financial arrangements and how best to structure settlement to take fair account
Lucy has a particular interest in cases which involve allegations of parental alienation and representing parents where permission is being sought from the court to remove children from the jurisdiction of England & Wales.
In 2024, Lucy was elected as Chair of the North & West Yorkshire regional Resolution Committee. Resolution is a community of family justice professionals who work with families to resolve issues in a constructive way.
Lucy is part of the winning team named ‘Family Law Firm of the Year’ at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards.
