Practice Areas
Matthias Courvoisier is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Zurich office and the head of the Capital Markets Practice Group of the office. He is also a member of the Firm's European Capital Markets Steering Committee.
For over 20 years, Matthias has worked on legal matters relating to capital markets law and has led a multitude of equity and debt capital market transactions and M&A transactions involving public companies, including public takeovers.
Matthias Courvoisier holds a PHD in Law from the University of Zurich and Masters in Finance from London Business School.
Career
After his time as teaching and research assistant at the University of Zurich, Matthias Courvoisier joined Baker McKenzie where he was instrumental in building up the capital markets and public M&A practice.

Matthias Courvoisier has a broad capital markets practice, covering both debt and equity matters. He advises clients on share, note and bond issuances, as well as SPAC transactions, accelerated bookbuilding and regulatory matters.
