Melissa is co-head of the Freshfields' Latin America practice and US energy and infrastructure group. She has considerable experience in the Americas, including the financing, purchase and sale of projects in Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Trinidad, the US, and Venezuela. Her sector experience includes infrastructure, metals and mining, power, energy, telecoms, and water.

Melissa received her JD from Columbia University (Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, senior editor Columbia Law Review) and her BA, magna cum laude, from Columbia University. She speaks Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
