Provides strategic advice to telecommunications, broadband, media, and technology companies, their investors, and industry associations on matters before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Executive Branch, federal courts of appeal, and state agencies. Significant experience securing approvals from the FCC and the Executive Branch security agencies in major transactions and advising public and private companies on competition policy, spectrum allocation and use, and broadband access. Represents clients in a wide variety of FCC rulemakings and enforcement proceedings and in judicial review of FCC decisions. Advised América Móvil on FCC and state PUC review of its sale of TracFone Wireless to Verizon; ForgeLight and its principal Wade Davis on FCC and Team Telecom review of the acquisition, along with Searchlight Partners, of a majority interest in Univision and related transactions; and NCTA – The Internet & Television Association as intervenor in support of the FCC in the consolidated appeal before the D.C. Circuit of the FCC’s landmark order opening the 6 GHz band to unlicensed use, and in the FCC's related ongoing rulemaking proceeding.
