Practice Areas
Mitchell is a member of Dentons' US Corporate practice. He is highly experienced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance, private placements and cross-border transactions. His core practice involves representing buyers, sellers and professional investors in their investment and acquisition activities, primarily in the private equity middle markets. He also acts as a strategic advisor to clients with respect to their legal, operational and financing needs.
In addition, he serves as outside general counsel for a number of his clients, assisting them with the management of a range of legal issues that include, employment, tax, intellectual property, employee incentive equity, emerging technology, risk management, regulated industry requirements and real estate, among others.
His work includes mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, complex commercial contracts and transactions, corporate governance, debt and equity financing structures, multi-jurisdictional projects and supply and distribution agreements.
Mitchell’s private equity practice focuses on fund formation, portfolio structure and management, growth equity, leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, roll-up strategies, corporate financing and recapitalizations.
