Nicholas Pappas is a partner in Dorsey & Whitney's Labor & Employment Practice Group. For over 30 years, he has litigated and counseled regarding the myriad employment issues arising in the workplace, with an emphasis on claims of discrimination, enforcement of restrictive covenants, executive employment agreements and terminations, and counseling in connection with labor-related disputes, particularly arising in the restructuring and transactional contexts. He also concentrates on defending ERISA class actions challenging the administration of health care plans, 401(k) plans, and defined benefit plans, regularly counseling on preemption, standing, fiduciary status, disclosure, withdrawal liability, and benefit accrual. Clients include Advent International, AlixPartners, Cornell Capital, Ceridian, Marsh & McLennan, Scotiabank, Brook & Whittle, and Tiffany.
