Domestic and cross-border insolvency. Represents court officers, debtors, creditors and other stakeholders in domestic and international insolvencies and restructurings. Responsible for managing and setting direction on large, complex restructurings and insolvencies. Representative cases: counsel for bondholders in Confederation Treasury Services Ltd., Monitors’ counsel in Canadian Airlines, Bre-X, Mirant Canada, Calpine Canada and SEMGroup cross-border reorganizations. Debtor's counsel in Canadian Superior Energy and Gasfrac Energy Services restructurings. Purchaser’s counsel in Poseidon Concepts.

Has prepared papers for and participated in programs and conferences for numerous organizations, including the American Bankruptcy Institute, the IIC, the III, the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Practitioners, the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and the Canadian Bar Association’s Alberta branch.
