Péter Bibók

Péter is a senior counsel in the Dispute Resolution team at CMS Budapest.

He graduated from ELTE University in Budapest in 2010 with a Doctor of Law degree and has been with CMS Budapest ever since. Péter was admitted to the Budapest Bar Association in 2014 and is licensed to practice as a Hungarian lawyer.

He has gained significant experience and knowledge in the field of international arbitration and litigation as well as insolvency, enforcement and customs proceedings, additionally serving a secondment at Siemens providing him an insight to the field of compliance. He has a deep understanding of construction disputes especially those regulated by FIDIC-based contracts. Péter also gained substantial experience with software and IP related arbitrations and litigation, banking and finance disputes, and aviation.

As a valued member of the Budapest Disputes team, he not only drafts statements and develops strategies but also frequently represents clients during hearings in both litigation and arbitration. His role also includes assisting in the management of the Buda-pest Disputes team and maintaining strong client relationships. Before joining the Dispute Resolution Group, he worked with the Banking Team from 2007 to 2011, gaining valuable experience that enables him to handle disputes requiring an in-depth understanding of financial markets and the banking sector.

He is currently recognized as a "Rising Star" for disputes in Hungary by Legal 500 and as "Up and Coming" by Chambers.
