Richard Evans is a Partner in the Litigation and Restructuring Department of Conyers Dill & Pearman in the British Virgin Islands.
Richard’s practice includes all contentious aspects of commercial and insolvency law, with a particular focus on shareholder disputes (and in particular, Asian sourced disputes) and contentious insolvency matters. Richard has acted as lead advocate in numerous leading commercial disputes within the jurisdiction, frequently in those giving rise to jurisdictional issues. He is experienced in obtaining, and securing the enforcement of, all forms of urgent interim relief, and works closely with international legal teams on emergency and cross border relief.
In addition, Richard is experienced in the relationship between arbitration and court proceedings and often acts on matters concerning the enforcement of awards.
Richard frequently acts for and against leading insolvency practitioners in the jurisdiction and as well as for other stakeholders in the insolvency realm.
