Richard heads Freshfields' London restructuring and insolvency team. He has worked for over 25 years across the corporate and capital structure on restructurings, refinancings, high yield and bond restructurings, intercreditor disputes, insolvency appointments, distressed M&A, English restructuring plans, schemes of arrangement, US Chapter 11s, 15s and s363s, pension deficits, insurance workouts, mining, telecoms and structured finance. Richard’s deals have been recognised by many industry awards.

Richard joined Freshfields in 1994; partner since 2004.
