One of the firm's founding partners, Roberto Quiroga held the position of managing partner for two terms between 2009-2015 and from 2020 until March 2024. As a lawyer, his career has focused on tax law, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and financial and capital markets, assisting clients both in Brazil and abroad.
Quiroga has played a leading role in pioneering Mattos Filho's pro bono work in Brazil for over 20 years, helping to build upon our firm's cultural values and enabling us to make a positive impact on society. He was also fundamental in establishing our innovative governance model (which eventually became a case study at Harvard University), assuring the firm's long-term stability and success within the Brazilian legal sector.
Quiroga is a professor of Tax Law at the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and in the Master's Program at the Fundação Getulio Vargas Law School (FGV).
