Mr. Bershad is a senior Director in the Gibbons Real Property Group. He is the immediate Past Chair of the Group, which he led for over 15 years. Mr. Bershad continues to lead the transactional real estate practice within the Real Property Group. Mr. Bershad has practiced exclusively as a real estate attorney for more than 40 years, focusing on acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, development projects, and tax abatements. He is an active member of real estate industry organizations, including the National Association Industrial and Office Properties.

In addition to Chambers USA, Mr. Bershad is listed for real estate litigation in Best Lawyers®, which named him a Newark “Lawyer of the Year” for Real Estate Law in 2017, and New Jersey Super Lawyers. He has previously been listed in NJBIZ magazine’s “Power 75 Real Estate List” and is one of a select group of New Jersey lawyers elected for membership in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
