Sergio Ponce joined the firm in 2002 and. He became a partner in 2014. He is based in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez.

Sergio Ponce holds a law degree from the University Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), where he also earned a postgraduate diploma in public law. In addition, he completed a master’s degree in Labour Law Practice from the Complutense University in Madrid.

Sergio’s professional practice extends to providing legal advice to companies on labour relations of both an individual and collective character. Sergio has extensive experience in collective bargaining, advising on all typical steps of the process, ranging from general planning of legal and negotiation strategies to dialogue with trade unions and overseeing the implementation of the terms ultimately agreed upon.

Sergio has played an important role in some of the most relevant (due to their size and complexity) collective dismissals that have taken place in Spain in recent years.
