Sigrid is Senior Partner of the Netherlands.
She has been a partner in the restructuring team in Amsterdam since 2012. Since 2021, she has combined this with her role as co-head global restructuring. She will continue to fulfil both roles in addition to her role co-managing the Amsterdam office.
Sigrid specialises in restructuring and workouts of companies in financial distress and the bankruptcy remote structuring of new deals. Sigrid has represented companies, including private equity investors, and financial institutions in a wide range of domestic and cross border corporate and multi-bank debt restructurings. She also has particular expertise in corporate finance, secured lending, (financial) collateral arrangements and distressed debt trading.
She joined the firm in 2000. In 2021 Sigrid was appointed as co-head of the firm's global restructuring practice. Sigrid is member and fellow of the International Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOL International), member of the editorial board of INSOL International, member of the Dutch Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD) and member of the insolvency committee for the Ministry of justice.
