Tim Chandler

Practice Areas

Tim Chandler is a partner in Sidley’s Houston office. Tim’s practice principally involves representing companies, funds and management teams in their investments in “hard hat” industries throughout the world, such as energy (including extraction / production, midstream, refining / petrochemicals, LNG, oilfield services, utilities, and power), infrastructure (including transportation, telecommunications, water, and data centers), metals / mining (including extraction, transportation, and refining), and manufacturing, including assisting clients in private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development, and structured financings. He has worked on transactions related to six continents and more than 40 countries (including throughout the United States). Tim is fluent in Portuguese and has lived and worked in Brazil. He can also read and write in Spanish. Tim has most recently been featured in Oil & Gas Investor, Midstream Business and E&P Magazine’s websites. Tim was recently recognized by Oil & Gas Investor as one of the 2019 Forty under 40 in the Oil and Gas Industry, by Law360 as one of five 2019 Rising Stars in Energy and by Latin Lawyer 250 as a 2019 commended lawyer in the Energy practice area.
