Practice Areas
Tim is a pensions partner with over 15 years’ experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious pensions matters. He is trusted for his commercial and pragmatic approach and frequently advises household name clients on some of the most prominent and high value pensions matters in the industry.
Tim specialises in advising trustees, sponsors and providers of complex occupational pension arrangements with liabilities ranging from several £1m to over £15bn. He has particular expertise in pensions restructuring matters in the distressed market involving the PPF, liability mitigation exercises, scheme closure and employer/union consultation, scheme mergers, funding negotiations including contingent security and asset backed funding arrangements, regulatory matters including Pensions Regulator intervention, pensions litigation (from Pensions Ombudsman disputes to cases before the European Court) and advising on large multi-employer pension arrangements including section and scheme wind-up.
Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, is a Naui international scuba diver and enjoys adventurous holidays in far flung places.
