Timothy L. Dickinson is a partner in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Dickinson’s practice encompasses a number of areas, including all aspects of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, U.S. export laws, economic sanctions, ITAR regulations (including enforcement actions), and political risk insurance. He works closely with a wide range of industries on FCPA matters, including establishment and implementation of compliance programs, due diligence for third parties and acquisitions, special investigations and defense before regulators in the U.S. as well as abroad, including the U.K.’s Serious Fraud Office.

Mr. Dickinson is currently a Professor at The University of Michigan Law School where he teaches Anti-Corruption Law and Practice, and International Commercial Transactions. He is also a founding faculty member of the International Transactions Clinic. Mr. Dickinson served as the chair of the ABA Section of International Law and Practice in 1997-1998, has served on the Executive Council of the American Society of International Law, and serves as a Director for the International Law Institute's Governance and Anti-Corruption Methods course. Mr. Dickinson chairs the ABA's International Legal Resource Center, which provides global legal assistance in conjunction with the UN Development Programme.
