Tomasz Zalewski is a partner in the Commercial team at Bird & Bird's Warsaw office. His expertise spans from government contracts, IT implementation, and licensing agreements, to technology related disputes. He has advised on numerous large scale IT projects, involving comprehensive implementation of complex software in both traditional and SaaS models. Tomasz advises on all aspects of public procurement law, and represent clients in procurement disputes before the National Appeal Chamber and the courts. He has particular experience advising on infrastructure and IT projects, representing both contractors and contracting authorities. Many of his clients are companies within the IT and technology sectors, although he also works with clients in the healthcare, energy, industrial automation, defence, and retail & consumer space. His professional interests include legal aspects of the application of the latest technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and cybersecurity. He has significant experience of advising tech start-ups.
