Yaakov Sheinfeld is a partner in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group.

Mr. Sheinfeld represents lenders in origination, modification, workout and enforcement of mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments, as well as secondary market transactions covering repurchase/warehouse financing and the acquisition and sale of all debt tranches, including whole loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity investments, and participation interests.

Mr. Sheinfeld is regularly called upon for transactions with complex capital stacks (including multi-tiered joint ventures and multiple layers of mezzanine and preferred equity investment) and sizeable nationwide portfolio transactions.

He also frequently represents clients in their equity transactions (including multi-tiered joint ventures) and serves as counsel to both purchasers/borrowers and sellers of commercial property in all asset classes on individual asset and portfolio transactions.

His clients include investment managers, private equity firms, hedge funds and institutional foreign and domestic insurance companies and pension funds.
