As above, we have seen notable division and interaction between contentious practice and non-contentious practice on the provincial level. The lawyers who advise exclusively on transactions rarely come across those engaged in dispute work. Moreover, clients have more specific requirements of their mandates when sourcing the right firm and lawyer for the job. Therefore, we have piloted the table split into contentious and non-contentious sub-sections in Zhejiang, Sichuan and Guangdong in the 2024 guide.  

The total number of provinces/municipalities that we offer corporate/commercial research and rankings to remains as 27.
