Chambers UK Bar Guide 2025: Highlights

New in Chambers UK Bar 2025

Personal Injury: Animal Claims

This spotlight table ranks four silks and eight juniors with an established practice handling personal injury claims involving animals. This includes matters with a head of liability under the Animals Act 1972 but also considers cases brought under negligence, employers’ liability or occupiers’ liability. Many of the featured barristers have experience with cases involving horses, whether in professional horse-racing, the military use of horses or leisure riding accidents. Other work includes attacks by livestock and injuries caused by dog bites and dog strikes.

The new table arises from submissions to our Animal Law section, which focuses on animal welfare rather than injuries caused by animals. Whilst the personal injury submissions were not relevant there, given the number of submissions and the market response to interviews, we are very pleased to open this new table to recognise the work being done in this practice area.
