This team holds a firm place in the top band and has successfully handled influential shipping cases for the members of International Group of P&I Clubs, renowned hull & machinery and lability insurers, shipping companies, salvors, shipyards, banks and the government authorities. The team maintains a strong presence in Dalian and continues to grow its practice in Shanghai. The team is highly specialized in representing leading P&I clubs and shipowners, providing services for all kinds of shipping and maritime disputes, including marine pollution, collision, salvage, general average, personal injury, contract of carriage of goods by sea, charter parties, all types of cargo claim, marine insurance, ship sale and purchase and mortgage issues.

Team leader M.Q. Zhu has handled hundreds of maritime cases with a wealth of experience. He flexibly applies his experience to practice, providing pinpoint strategies in meeting the clients’ needs. He is also appointed legal counsel of the Chinese government authorities, and is listed in ‘Personnel List of One-Thousand Lawyers Handling Foreign- Related Matters in China’. He is also currently involved in the revision of Maritime Code of PRC. Team leader Wang Hongyu has overseas education background and used to work for a major domestic insurance company. In practice for more than 20 years, he advised shipowners, P&I clubs and charterers with hundreds of maritime disputes, winning praises and endorsements by his clients on his legal and language skills.
