LAIN, acronym of intersectional labor in Spanish "Laboral Interseccional" is a labor, gender, diversity and inclusion consulting, strategy, and litigation firm. Founded in 2023, it is more than just a law firm, it is also a training project to create safe spaces for all people.

Alix Trimmer, founder of LAIN is one of the most recognized labor attorneys in Mexico. She is also a prominent activist for gender and diversity. Due to her expertise and noted career, she has been recognized by Chambers and Partners Latin America, Chambers Diversity and Inclusion, Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250, recognized as LGBTIQ+ Top Voice 2023 by LinkedIn and one of the 41 LGBT+ Business Leaders 2022 Mexico by Expansión.

The mission of the firm is to provide accurate advice regarding labor, gender, diversity and inclusion matters, not only to provide legal solutions to specific situations, but to upgrade and improve the culture inside the companies, to create appropriate and safe environments for all people.

LAIN offers consulting and litigation services in both, individual and collective labor matters, as well as regulatory and compliance advice from the labor perspective. We accompany our clients in the development of their labor relations, including recruitment strategies, attention to day to day problems and personnel termination, within the legal framework provided in Mexico.

Intersectionality is a new concept that seeks recognition of the existing relationship between categories such as gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, among others, to address and eliminate the social barriers that have been generated throughout the history of humanity. The vision of LAIN include the consideration of intersectionality and how such concept is related to business from the legal perspective.

Being informed and keep learning is essential for the evolution of humanity, therefore, providing workshops, talks and training is part of the mission of change that will contribute to the advancement of organizations and people, to make a better world; for such reason, LAIN is part of the training process of several national and international companies.
