The Sixth Floor has had an impressive record of judicial appointments over many years, including two former Chief Justices of New South Wales (the Hon Jim Spigelman AC KC and the Hon Tom Bathurst AC KC) and Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, former President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal. Former floor members also include the Chief Justice of the ACT Supreme Court, the Hon. Lucy McCallum, Justices Payne, Mitchelmore and Stern of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, Justice Nixon and Justice Hmelnitsky of the Supreme Court, Justices Perry, Halley and Younan of the Federal Court, and Judge Whitford SC and Judge Wass SC of the District Court.
