Taveira da Fonseca & Associados (or just "TdF") is an extension of the office created by Joaquim Taveira da Fonseca in 1979, when he iniated his activity as a lawyer.
Since then, we tried to be a reference of quality in the services rendered.
We advise and represent individuals and companies in all areas of Law, but mainly in Corporate Law (in matters related with the constitution and organization of companies and with disputes between shareholders), Civil Law (civil contracts, civil liability, family law and inheritance law), Labour Law, Commercial Law and Insolvency Law.
Work Highlights:
. Advised the sale of shares in several Banks, including one of the biggest banks in Portugal;
. Advised the restructuration of workforce of a major company during the COVID-19 Pandemic;
. Represented a major construction company in the restructuring of his debt through a special recovery procedure (known in Portugal as "PER").
. Represented a major distributor of vehicles in a dispute about a distribution agreement.
. Advice on the restructuring of companies and on the purchase and sale of companies, linked to the sectors of banking, automotive industry, plastics, civil construction, hotels, pharmaceuticals, restaurants, etc.
. Dispute resolution and arbitration of high complexity and value, in cases of litigation between shareholders.
