The Environmental Protection Law and Related Acts, to be published by C.H. Beck at the beginning of December, is the first edition of the English translation of the environmental protection law collection.
The translation includes:
- the Environmental Protection Law of 27 April 2001,
- the Act on the Prevention and Remedying of Environmental Damage of 13 April 2007,
- the Act on Providing Information on the Environment and on Environmental Protection, Public Participation in Environmental Protection and Environmental Impact Assessments of 3 October 2008.
The publication was translated by Michele Le Mauviel and Ewa Kucharska, authors of translations of, inter alia, the Code of Commercial Companies, the Civil Code, the Public Procurement Law, the Pharmaceutical Law and the Copyright Law, who have many years' practical experience in working with legal texts at DZP and have an excellent understanding of the specific nature of the Polish legal system.
Legal consultations for the publication were provided by experts from DZP’s environmental protection team: Daniel Chojnacki, Partner, Maciej Białek, Senior Associate, and Tymon Grabarczyk, Associate.
The edition will be an important aid for translators and lawyers advising and participating in investment processes in the infrastructure sector and for employees of companies whose activities involve the risk of environmental damage (especially in the energy, chemical, industrial and infrastructure sectors).
The translation reflects the legal situation as at 1 November 2023, and the Environmental Protection Act also includes amendments that come into force on 1 January 2024.
