Investigations, Enforcement & Compliance
Our team includes former members of DOJ, several former Assistant U.S. Attorneys, and two former members of HHS-OCIG, the branch responsible for promulgating the modified safe harbors to the AKS. We counsel clients on civil and criminal exposure related to healthcare fraud and abuse allegations, including:
- Alleged violations of various laws such as the Stark Law; AKS; & Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act
- Investigations & litigation under the FCA
- Internal compliance investigations
- Managed Care, Medicare Advantage, & Risk Adjustment Compliance
- Medicare & Medicaid compliance, governmental contractor audits, including MAC, RAC, ZPIC & UPIC audits
Chambers Review
Provides extensive skill in fraud and abuse matters such as Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute concerns. Regularly counsels a broad range of clients including manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, hospitals and health systems. Experience spans internal investigations, litigation and compliance issues related to Medicare.
