Healthcare

Healthcare Fraud Litigation & Healthcare Disputes

Provides healthcare clients with counsel and support for civil and criminal exposure, including matters relating to the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, various criminal statutes, and Medicare and Medicaid audits. Assists with compliance audits, managed care disputes and IT software vendor disputes.

Compliance & Government Investigations

Advises clients on securities, healthcare and public corruption-related investigations. Conducts internal investigations and manages client exposure before, during and after governmental inquiries. Negotiates with governmental officials and defends clients in civil, criminal, administrative and regulatory proceedings.

Securities & Shareholder Litigation

Defends complex securities class actions and merger-related litigation, including corporate governance matters arising under federal and state securities laws.

International, International Trade & FCPA

Counsels international companies related to cross-border M&A; compliance and government investigations; antitrust, competition and trade practices law; and environmental compliance. Assists on issues related to economic sanctions, exports, imports, anti-bribery, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, and other trade issues. Advises on FCPA and other foreign anti-corruption laws including conducting international anti-corruption investigations and risk assessments.

Government Contracts

Advises on government contractors matters including M&A support; federal and state level bid protests; small business size and affiliation standards; foreign ownership control or influence (FOCI); pending claims, investigations, audits, and disclosures; intellectual property and data rights; facility and personnel security clearances; and ethics and compliance concerns.

Antitrust

Provides antitrust litigation and counseling for issues arising under federal and state antitrust laws. Particular focus in the healthcare industry.

Commercial Transactions & Real Estate

Focuses on acquisition, development, construction, leasing, disposition and management of a wide variety of commercial real estate for developers, investors and corporate clients. The firm advises clients in commercial lending and debt transactions, including senior credit facilities, mezzanine financings, public finance, tax increment financings, equipment financing and leasing, asset-based lending and project/construction finance.
