We represent employers in employment disputes and litigation before federal and state trial and appellate courts, in arbitration, and in administrative agency proceedings, including those involving non-compete agreements, employee raiding and breaches of fiduciary duty, employment discrimination and sexual harassment, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, claims, and defamation and other tort claims.

Choate’s investigations team crosses multiple practice groups and partners have extensive experience handling highly sensitive allegations of wrongdoing including allegations of sexual misconduct, financial fraud and retaliation. We work with the boards and with board sub-committees of our clients, which typically require strategic counsel and advice as well as command of the legal issues involved. 

In addition, our team advises clients on all aspects of employment relationships, such as employment agreements and non-compete agreements, leaves and disability accommodations, employee handbooks and policies, wage and hour compliance, and conducting terminations and reductions- in-force. 

We also regularly provide advice on U.S. matters to employment-related clients based in Europe, Canada and around the world.
