About

Provided by Deacons

In any industry – and law is no exception – what really matters is what your clients think. So we are delighted that, year after year, our clients tell independent researchers that we are ‘head and shoulders above the competition’ (Legal 500 Asia Pacific), ‘unmatched on registered funds work’ (IFLR 1000), and ‘one of the pre-eminent practices’ at a ‘competitive price’ (Chambers & Partners).

Not that we are complacent. Our experienced team is dedicated to keeping ahead of market developments and providing our clients with the highest possible service standards. That’s why we have achieved a long list of ‘market firsts’, introducing to Hong Kong many new and innovative products.

As the largest investment funds team in Hong Kong, we act for the lion’s share of international and local asset managers – household names like Aberdeen, Barings, Invesco, PIMCO and Schroders.

Our work on retail funds is well known. We also have exceptional experience in the full range of alternative investment funds, as demonstrated by our multiple wins at the HFM Asia Hedge Fund Services Awards. Our regulatory advice is marked by strong local knowledge and close links to Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). For work involving mainland China, we can draw upon our dedicated team of Mandarin-speaking practitioners, and the resources of our representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
