By combining a thorough understanding of trade and regulatory policymaking with expertise on the region’s diverse laws and regulations, Keller and Heckman’s Shanghai Office assists clients in developing global best practices and meeting regulatory requirements to market their products throughout Asia.


Keller and Heckman’s Shanghai team provides legislative and strategic analysis on regulations throughout Asia in the areas of food, food packaging, drugs, dietary supplements, medical devices, e-cigarettes, pesticides, and industrial and specialty chemicals.


With an in-house scientific staff, we understand the legal, scientific, and commercial challenges that our clients face. The Shanghai team is closely integrated with Keller and Heckman’s Washington DC, Brussels, San Francisco, and Boulder offices, and regularly works on projects with colleagues in these offices.


Keller and Heckman attorneys advise clients on the legal status of ingredients and finished products under all Asian regulatory schemes and assists them in obtaining pre-market clearance, where necessary. We also counsel clients on advertising and labeling regulations, including those related to nutrition and health claims, hygiene and inspection matters, and import/export certification requirements.
