About

Provided by Robinson & Cole LLP

Robinson+Cole lawyers assist public and private companies with a full range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, and going private. Our clients range from technology startups to multinational corporations, and a significant part of our work involves cross-border transactions.

Our Mergers & Acquisitions Group collaborates closely with other lawyers in the firm to provide you with an integrated and customized response. According to your legal needs, we may draw on the firm's experience in tax; real estate; title and lease review; environmental due diligence; remediation; regulatory compliance; employee benefits, including qualified plans, severance plans, and post-retirement obligations; intellectual property and technology due diligence; licensing; assignments; security interests; and supply, distribution, and manufacturing contracts.

Antitrust and trade regulation compliance counseling is an important component of our mergers & acquisitions practice. We provide advice with respect to U.S. and foreign competition, notification, and review requirements, as well as pre-transaction information flow and strategic approaches to government concerns and responses.

We work with general counsel and in-house legal teams in flexible, shared-responsibility arrangements. Often, we are part of a transaction team working with one or more of a client's specialty and foreign law firms in areas such as antitrust, ERISA, and tax.
