About

Provided by Troutman Pepper

Troutman Pepper's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation group advises clients on the complex issues that can arise in connection with the design, administration and termination of employee compensation and benefit plans and arrangements. We craft solutions that address the myriad of relevant legal considerations, including ERISA, tax, employment law, financial accounting and securities laws.

Working extensively with boards of directors, compensation and investment committees, plan fiduciaries, plan administrators, and other benefits consultants, we effectively partner with our clients to serve their needs while understanding the business environments in which they operate. Our team has experience advising clients on their employee compensation and benefits plan matters throughout the various business cycles: from start-up to going public, in good economic times and bad, during bankruptcies, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and during hiring and right-sizing times. We have many long-term clients that we have represented through many of these business cycles.

We pride ourselves on understanding the client’s business and its compensation culture, so we can deliver solutions that fit what they need and conform with their corporate identity.
