USPs: Anthesis guides clients to sustainable performance. We are the world’s leading purpose driven, digitally enabled, science-based activator.

Company Overview:

From the Greek word ‘anthesis’, referencing the lifecycle stage of a plant when it is most productive, Anthesis exists to guide our clients as they transition to decarbonised and more sustainable futures.

With world-class expertise in science-based advisory, market-leading digital solutions, the development of high-quality carbon removal projects and purpose consulting, strategy and communication, Anthesis is uniquely positioned to manage risk and find value for our clients in their transformation journeys.

Anthesis was founded in 2013 out of frustration around a lot of talk of sustainability and insufficient action. We wanted to show how you make sustainability happen, how it could be a source of value creation, and demonstrate the importance of the inter-dependency of the different parts of the sustainability offering. Since then, Anthesis has acquired 22 businesses that support its mission of guiding our clients away from the broken business models of the old era to the sustainable performance models of the new.

In 2023, Anthesis acquired Wallbrook, a leading global ESG advisory firm focused on anti-corruption, investigations and resolving disputes, business ethics and human rights. From organic and inorganic growth, Anthesis has become the largest pure-play sustainability firm globally, with more than 1,400 experts across 23 countries, with the depth of expertise to root everything we do in sound science but the breadth to engage with our clients’ leadership teams and those people with greatest influence and power to effect change.

Main Areas of Practice:

Anthesis supports its highly diversified blue-chip clients through four integrated offerings: providing science and evidence-based advisory solutions to help tackle the world’s most significant restoration and regulation challenges, enhancing digital capabilities, implementing carbon reduction plans and creating purpose-led communications.

Within these four areas, Anthesis offers the following client solutions:

Purpose Strategy, Carbon Projects & Offsetting, Net Zero & Decarbonisation, Brand & Communications, Education & Engagement, Supply Chains, Social Impact & Human Rights, Sustainable Products & Circularity, Nature, ESG, Sustainable Finance & Transactions, Environmental Management.
