Alexie Ng specialises in commercial and corporate litigation and intellectual property disputes, with experience in administrative law, disciplinary proceedings, corporate restructuring and company law, contractual and business disputes, breach of confidentiality and land related matters.

Calvin Wong specialises in corporate and commercial litigation, arbitration, and administrative law. He has experience handling shareholders’ disputes, corporate fraud, contravention of securities law regulating the capital markets, breach of contract and judicial review.

Chooi Mun Sou founded Chooi & Company in December 1962. He has built up extensive experience of a wide range of commercial and corporate transactions, including cross-border transactions, project financing, schemes of arrangement, foreign investments, joint ventures, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, property law, building and development, and sales and leases.

Christopher Leong, a seasoned litigator and former Malaysian Bar President (2013-2015), with over 30 years of experience in corporate and commercial litigation, shareholders’ disputes, and banking and securities litigation. He also serves as counsel in both domestic and international arbitrations and frequently presides as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings.

Ira Biswas, a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in a wide spectrum of commercial and civil litigation cases. Her key areas of practice include insolvency law, commercial frauds, banking litigation and land matters including land acquisitions. She has dealt with clientele in many different industries and is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer.

Janet Chai specialises in commercial, energy, construction and engineering disputes. She is an accredited adjudicator with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and an arbitrator empanelled with the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (BICAM).

Jimmy Ng specialises in restructuring and insolvency. bringing over 20 years of experience in financial restructuring and insolvency work with KPMG in Malaysia. He is a contributing writer to the book Law and Practice of Corporate Insolvency in Malaysia and the co-editor of Restructuring and Insolvency: A Commentary.

Karen Cheah is renowned for her expertise in corporate & commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, banking and finance, real estate, aircraft financing, information technology/data privacy, and non-contentious tax advisory. Her extensive experience in contentious matters adds to her abilities in her corporate and commercial practice in varying industrial sectors.

Kenson Ong specialises in employment and industrial relations law. He regularly handles matters relating to employment contracts, employee benefits and compensation, dismissal and retrenchment. He also advises on anti-bribery compliance, trade unions, occupational safety and health, work passes and immigration-related matters.

Koay Shiau Ven specialises in real estate, banking and intellectual property. She provides advice to companies in franchising and distributorship. With extensive experience in real estate transactions, she handles everything from advisory, sales and purchases, corporate banking and housing loan transactions, to development projects.

Leong Wei Chung advises on capital market transactions, corporate finance matters, cross border mergers and acquisitions as well as general corporate advisory works.

Lim Tsu Qi specialises in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and regulatory compliance. Her expertise also extends to real property transactions and data privacy.

Lim Tuck Sun specialises in commercial and corporate litigation and arbitration, with experience in shareholder disputes, cross-border disputes and company law related issues. He also advises on aviation, competition, defamation, insurance, IT contracts, and telecommunications matters. Tuck Sun is empanelled as an arbitrator with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).

Nicole Wee leads the firm’s family and probate practice. She advises on family and matrimonial disputes, wealth management, asset structuring and succession planning, including wills and trusts, and also contentious probate and trust matters.

Shamala Devi Balasundaram is an experienced trial lawyer with expertise in corporate and commercial disputes, shareholder conflicts, insolvency, and construction matters. She acts as counsel in international and domestic arbitration cases conducted under various institutional rules, and accepts appointments to serve as an arbitrator.

Yap Yeong Hui specialises in employment and industrial relations law, with experience in internal investigations, work passes, data protection and OHSA matters. He also handles shipping and commodities-related contentious and non-contentious matters, including charter-parties, bills of lading, marine insurance and shipping casualties.
