Firm Overview
Hamilton Stephens Steele + Martin, PLLC was formed over twenty years ago, when a group of founding partners left several large national firms--with the goal of creating a nimble mid-sized firm with the ability to provide its clients with high quality legal services at reasonable rates.
Today, HSSM is a well-regarded construction law boutique, with over half of its lawyers focusing exclusively on construction law. Other HSSM attorneys focus on construction-adjacent practice areas and regularly assist the needs of the firm’s construction industry clients.
Based in Charlotte, HSSM’s attorneys practice not only in the Carolinas and the southeastern United States but also assist clients wherever their legal needs arise, both nationally and internationally.
HSSM is unique in that as much one-third of its partnership is comprised of women. This ratio is above the national average, particularly within firms serving the construction industry, which is well known to be male dominated. Within the Construction Law Practice Group at HSSM, nearly half the partnership are women, with each of those women partners considered in the top of her field.
HSSM is best known for its technical legal abilities, diligence, commitment, and client service at economical and affordable rates.
