Limongi Advocacia is a law Firm with notable expertise in the Dispute Resolution sector. We have been based in Recife since 1994 and are one of the longest-standing and traditional Firms in the State of Pernambuco.

We are focused on a full-service offering, advising our clients in all areas of law, primarily in civil, tort law/liability, consumer, real estate, regulatory, environmental, white-collar crime, and tax law . We also specialize in telecommunications, insurance and energy law .

II. Team Composition:

The Firm has both male and female partners, but female partners have outnumbered male partners since 2011, as they hold the administrative power within the Firm, particularly in terms of internal relationships and hiring. Women make up the majority of the Firm's lawyers, representing around 70% of the firm's lawyers. Furthermore, all department and branch coordinators are women. The Firm also embraces diversity, having lawyers from minority groups.

Our Firm has a regulatory group within the litigation department, undertaking work from leading companies involved with highly regulated sectors, such as telecommunications, energy, insurance, water distribution and treatment. With this level of expertise, the team acts for heavyweight national companies throughout the Northeast Region, such as Telefônica/Vivo, Claro/Embratel, Oi, TIM Brasil and SulAmérica.

It is essential to keep in mind that most of our lawyers have more than a decade of experience within the Firm and are specialists in the specific areas of each case. It is also worth mentioning that naming partner, Erik Limongi Sial, has been recognized as an outstanding lawyer by several judicial branches, such as the State Court of Pernambuco – TJPE (2022), the Judicial School of the State Court of Pernambuco – ESMAPE (2018), as well as the Federal Regional Electoral Court at Pernambuco - TRE/PE (2015), which have all awarded him with medals.

Senior partner Graciele Pinheiro Lins Lima also holds recognition awards from the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association - CFOAB (2022) and the Brazilian Bar Association State Chapter of Pernambuco – OAB/PE (2021).

III. Specialities & Strengths:

We render legal advice and representation through our litigation team before all courts in Brazil, including the Superior Courts in the federal capital (Brasilia). The Firm acts both on judicial and administrative cases, for clients from a wide range of sectors, such as telecommunications, insurance, energy, water distribution and treatment, real state, construction, automobile, education and the steel industry, among others.

In addition, we have outstanding telecommunications leading expertise. The four largest telecommunications companies in Brazil (Telefônica/Vivo, Claro/Embratel, Oi and TIM Brasil) use Limongi Advocacia’s legal services in the Northeast Region. The telecommunications national trade association (Conexis) also retains the Firm´s legal services.

We have a partner-led approach, which means that the mais aspects of our practice are overseen by at least one of its two leading partners.

IV. Industry sector strengths:

The bulk of our workload comes from the Dispute Resolution sector. We provide both strategic litigation advice (including high-profile leading cases) and large-scale litigation case resolution, while maintaining a dispute resolution focus, attending each corporate client specific priorities.

V. International clients:

Our portfolio of international clients is still expanding and currently includes corporate clients partly controlled by international corporations, such as Claro/Embratel (American Movil), Telefônica/Vivo (Telefónica), and Neoenergia (Iberdrola).
