Who we are
The Firm was founded in the year 2010 by the partners Gabriel Pizá Avilés, Enrique Ballesteros Alvarado and Alejandro Díaz Fernández, as a Firm specialized in labor matters. In March 2020, Susana Flores Verlón joined the Firm as partner.
Pizá Abogados is an innovative Firm with over ten years of experience providing legal services to national and multinational Companies, with strict accordance to the law, we are extensively specialized in labor counseling, litigation and collective matters, counting with expert lawyers dedicated to the implementation of effective practices and policies through a dynamic, practical and globalized assessment.
About us
Pizá Abogados is divided into 3 main areas, which are: Consulting, Litigation and Collective Matters.
Our Consulting Department advises and counsels our clients on many labor matters, including: due diligence; individual and collective bargaining agreements; fringe benefits and employee bonus payments; internal labor regulations and policies; incentive and commission plans; stock options; expatriates; personnel transfers; confidential and non-compete agreements; independent services or professional services agreements, subcontracting and outsourcing matters.
Likewise, our Litigation Department has specialized personnel to handle individual and collective disputes before Labor Courts and Conciliation and Arbitration Boards, both federal and local. Due to the high level of litigation that we handle in the Firm and the importance of the clients we represent, we have been precursors of jurisprudence and criteria in labor matters that have revolutionized labor litigation in the country.
Additionally, the Firm considers it is extremely important to intervene in Collective Negotiations, including the elaboration of collective bargaining agreements for the companies, advice and participation for the revision, either integral or of salaries, of collective bargaining agreements; attention and advice, both in federal and local jurisdiction, on strike procedures and economic and legal nature conflicts; seeking a constant communication with our Clients in relation with the implementation and administration of their collective labor relations.

The Firm provides legal services to employers and multinational companies with diverse business activities, for the implementation and development of labor strategies that seek to optimize human and material resources.
The cases of our Clients are attended at all times by a partner of the Firm, who at the same time is supported by a group of associate lawyers specialized in each area, in order to provide a personalized service to our Clients at all times.

The Firm has a talented team of more than 35 specialized lawyers in labor matters with a wide experience in handling contingencies derived from labor-management relations, including the areas of consultancy, litigation and collective negotiations.

Pizá Abogados carried out a Regularization Project in Labor Matters, consisting in the analysis of the current labor legal context of Netflix, in order to implement a legal design strategy, in line with the applicable Mexican legislation and mainly with the needs of the Company.
Pizá Abogados carried out a Labor Litigation Project, in which it analyzed, among other aspects, the circumstances and background of all the active labour claims against American Express, in order to design the best legal strategy that achieved a significant reduction in the number of active trials.
Derived from the Telework Reform, the Firm carried out a project in which it analyzed and evaluated PriceWaterHouseCoopers' labor scheme, in order to design and implement the necessary policies and strategies regarding telework to comply with the current and applicable Mexican legislation.
