TGC is highly regarded in public inquiries with extensive experience and involvement in nearly every past and present inquiry, ongoing examples include The Grenfell Tower Inquiry, The Manchester Arena Inquiry, The Undercover Police Inquiry, The Infected Blood Inquiry plus others.
Chambers are at the forefront of health and safety law. It is routinely instructed by corporations and individual defendants in high profile cases, and leading cases in the Court of Appeal. Current instructions include the ongoing investigations following the fire at Grenfell Tower and the collapse of Didcot Power Station.
Counsel at TGC specialise in motor insurance, credit hire and professional and product liability. TGC has forged a reputation as a leading set for Civil fraud, acting for insurance companies in cases encompassing a wide range of frauds, it has acted for insurers in many recent contempt of court proceedings, including against a well-known TV personality who was sent to jail.
Members of TGC are at the forefront of public law litigation, appearing in numerous leading cases concerning human rights, prison law, coronial law, national security and immigration, and asylum. The TGC extradition team bring an unrivalled wealth of experience appearing in cases at all levels from the Magistrates’ Court to the Supreme Court and the CJEU.
The set’s outstanding team has advised governments and individuals at the highest level on public international law and international humanitarian law issues. Counsel have prosecuted, defended and intervened in the most serious cases at international criminal courts as well as pursuing civil claims for clients internationally.
